Lovely old circa 19th century primitive hand made wooden mortar with heavy iron pestle. Originating from Europe this would have originally been used in the villages for grinding grain, coffee, spices etc. It has a great look and a patina which shows its age and history.

The item is in used vintage condition, there are previous signs of woodworm which has been treated as a precaution and there may be some age related marks and wear and tear. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
